Or later?<br /><br />The speaker - and remember he is only one of three speakers - imagines that some aspect of sex is, for Judit (who was brought up in terrible poverty) like being taken back to childhood where there is a window and bed and supper. Provided by her parents, that is.<br /><br />I a not entirely convinced by this but it is not the author speaking - it is a character and the character can misread.
